It is important to note that as part of their "investigation," the Los Angeles Fire Department interviewed the complainant for an hour at their Downtown headquarters and also spoke with other witnesses over the phone who corroborated her story. One of the men who interviewed her even apologized "off the record" on behalf of the Fire Department, acknowledging that her emergency was not handled according to their own standards.
